Job Title: Entry Level Engineer in Structural Forensic Engineering

Vannoy & Associates is seeking a full-time entry level engineer interested in structural and forensic engineering. We are looking for an individual that is an independent worker, is motivated, has an entrepreneurial spirit, has excellent written/verbal skills.

Compensation package will include: above average salary, profit sharing, paid tuition towards a Master’s Degree at the University of Maryland (or equivalent). Vannoy & Associates is a forensic structural engineering firm located in Maryland. Vannoy & Associates specializes in forensic engineering, structural engineering, facilities engineering, property condition assessment, rope access systems design, inspection, & testing, condition surveys, repair and rehabilitation design and building evaluations.

Hours: Full-time employment (40 hours/week) starting in June 2019.

Location: Ellicott City area office; work from home permitted periodically; a majority of job sites are in the MD/DC/VA region; periodic travel within the United States will be required for property condition assessments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties: Perform window washing/suspended maintenance equipment design, testing, and inspections; assess damaged building structures; develop CAD drawings for the repair of damaged building structures; perform property condition assessments; maintain and develop clients.

Academic/Trade Qualifications: Must be working towards or have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural engineering and must be working towards or have E.I.T./P.E. certification/license. Continued employment will require obtaining an engineering license.

Skills: CAD experience; construction knowledge/experience is preferred; independent worker; excellent written/verbal communication skills; self-motivated; must have ability to drive to job locations in the MD/VA/DC area; must be able to lift 50 lbs.; must not have fear of heights; capable of working alone.
