Thomas M. Krauth, P.E.
Mr. Krauth has over 25 years extensive experience in forensic investigations and analysis, non-destructive testing, and building evaluations. Mr. Krauth has performed thousands of forensic evaluations of residential, commercial, institutional, agricultural, and industrial buildings which have been subject to accidents, collapses, construction defects, design errors, earthquakes, expansive soils, explosions, fires, hail, hurricanes, plumbing leaks, subgrade settlement, tornadoes, tree impacts, vehicular impacts, water intrusion, windstorms, and wood deterioration. Such evaluations have resulted in the determination of the cause, origin, extent, duration, and remediation of damage. In addition, Mr. Krauth has extensive experience in the comparative analysis of existing, as-built, and as-designed conditions; and evaluation of applicable building code and engineering standards. Mr. Krauth has lectured nationally and internationally on forensic investigations as well as on forensic masonry investigations at the Institution of Civil Engineers. Mr. Krauth has served as an expert witness on numerous occasions and is qualified to provide reliable expert testimony, litigation support and findings of fact for depositions, hearings, trial proceedings, arbitrations and mediations.
